Analog MEMS Microphone
The RMM-2718AB-38NL is a miniature, high-performance, low power, bottom port, Analog MEMS microphone. It has a low output impedance, unity gain buffer integrated into the package allowing direct integration to conversion devices or further amplification by external means if required in the application. The RMM-2718AB-38NL’s high AOP specification allows the pressure variations in both near and far sound field applications to be handled with excellent sensitivity by the same device.
Analog MEMS microphones should be used in analog apps and whenever a digital application has a noise floor that can’t be resolved with a 1-bit PDM output. Several types of sampling ADCs can be used to accurately represent audio in the 5kHz to 20kHz band with 24 bit resolution. The Analog MEMS microphone is the device of choice in digital voice control applications where there may be high background noise from sources such as Soundbars, HDTVs and some Hi-Fi. The ability to capture the desired sound in high noise environments makes the Analog MEMS microphone the best choice in these echo cancellation applications.
