Electronic Components: Fit a Square Peg in a Round Hole

It’s not true what they say… you can in fact fit a square peg in a round hole. It’s just a matter of force, willpower and sometimes how much money you want to spend to make it happen.

In the Electronic Components world of our OEM customers, we frequently find this conundrum; a microphone or speaker doesn’t fit in the space available on a circuit board, or a switch that’s needed for its electrical properties doesn’t come with the required soldering options. Every designer has been there, and most times simply finds a workaround that feels a lot like the picture above.

RDI has a better solution. If the Application Specific Standard Products (ASSPs) we sell are the pegs in our analogy, and the customer’s PCB, connector or enclosure is the hole, we’re prepared to modify the peg or the hole or both to make your chosen solution fit perfectly, reducing cost, improving yields and making the end product the best version it can be.

Talk to RDI about your own square peg and round hole issues and secure the best possible solution for your electronic devices.
